Initially, this service will be offered in select cities, including:

- Charlotte, North Carolina;
- Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas;
- Denver, Colorado;
- Nashville, Tennessee;

For orders between $50 and $100, the fee will be $11, and for orders over $100, the delivery charge will be $8. So, you can still enjoy the convenience of home delivery, just with these new fee.
As you might have guessed, the delivery fees for non-Prime members are a bit higher compared to Fresh shoppers with a Prime membership. If your order is under $50, the fee will be $10, for orders between $50 and $100, it’s $7, and if your order is higher than $100, the fee comes down to $4.
No matter if you have a Prime membership or not, when you shop with Fresh, you can choose between a two-hour delivery window or a more affordable six-hour window for your convenience.
What Amazon has to say?
In a statement by Amazon,
“We want grocery shopping to be easy, fast, and affordable for everyone. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Amazon Fresh grocery delivery will now be available to customers in twelve U.S. cities, even if they don’t have a Prime membership.”
What are Amazon’s Future Plans?
Amazon has big plans to combine its different online supermarkets like Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, and Amazon.com into one convenient shop. This means customers can do all their grocery shopping in one place instead of going to different websites.
Back in 2007, Amazon stepped into the grocery world with the launch of Fresh, and it has since grown to have 44 supermarkets across the U.S.
To expand its presence, it acquired Whole Foods for a whopping $13.7 billion in 2017. Additionally, Amazon runs several Go convenience stores that don’t require cashiers.
However, due to challenging economic times, Amazon recently had to lay off hundreds of Fresh employees at stores nationwide and close eight of its Go stores. Despite these changes, Amazon remains committed to its grocery business.
