  • Amazon Lex in Amazon Connect: Facilitates the creation and improvement of chatbots and interactive voice response systems using natural language prompts.
  • Unified Customer Profiles: Amazon Connect Customer Profiles can now generate comprehensive customer profiles from various software-as-a-service applications and databases.

Expanding Omnichannel Capabilities

Amazon Connect has also broadened its omnichannel capabilities. This includes the introduction of two-way SMS messaging and in-app voice calling with video support. These omnichannel and AI enhancements are now widely available, with some still in preview.

AWS re: Invent 2023 Highlights

At the recent AWS re: Invent 2023 event, CEO Adam Selipsky underscored AWS’s progress in generative AI. He particularly highlighted the Bedrock platform, which now serves over 10,000 global clients, including notable names like Adidas and United Airlines. 

AWS also introduced the Trainium 2 chip, designed for training large-scale AI models, and the energy-efficient Graviton 4 chip. In collaboration with Nvidia Corp (NVDA), AWS is pushing the boundaries in AI model training capabilities.
