What’s the News?

Have you ever wondered how rockets can carry heavy payloads into space?

Imagine INNOSPACE launching rockets carrying loads from 50kg to 500kg into low Earth orbit from ASC. Equatorial Launch Australia (ELA) and INNOSPACE will unfold this exciting partnership over the next five years until December 2028.

This makes ELA one of the world’s top commercial spaceports, with INNOSPACE as the first ‘resident launcher’ at ASC. INNOSPACE, the hybrid-fueled rocket company, will start launching from ASC in early 2025

Moreover, ELA’s collaboration with the Australian Space Agency is expanding, aiming to support a variety of orbital launches from ASC. This will have different rocket configurations and propellant mixes. This effort also extends to assisting INNOSPACE in obtaining its Australian Launch Permit.

Furthermore, ASC will grant INNOSPACE a Space Launch Complex (SLC) featuring modern launch pads and integration facilities tailored to INNOSPACE’s rocket needs. These SLCs are designed to meet industry standards for security and compliance measures.

Michael Jones, ELA’s Executive Chairman and Group CEO, expressed his excitement about this significant partnership, highlighting INNOSPACE’s technological prowess and the potential for ASC to become a global commercial launch leader.

Soojong Kim, CEO of INNOSPACE, shared the enthusiasm, emphasizing the advantages of launching from the equatorial ASC and the prospect of offering frequent and flexible launch opportunities.

This collaboration heralds a new era in space exploration, showcasing the innovation and capabilities of both ELA and INNOSPACE in pushing the boundaries of space travel.
